You do not vest, earn or accrue vacation. Instead, the benefit is open and flexible and can be used with your manager’s approval. In theory this means unlimited vacation but in practice your manager will limit you to 2 weeks a year (for new hires). And since you don't accrue vacation you will not get paid for any unused vacation if you quit or get RIF'd.
There isn't one (seriously). Vacations don't exist and they're off the books. You're allowed to take time off "as long as the work gets done". Be careful though. They expect that most people will compete for performance ratings and not take vacation at all.
so what happens if your NOT a new employee and still your manager gives you 2 weeks vacation? and where can I find this vacation policy that you get 2 weeks. is that from corporate or what the management states you get.
the official policy is unlimited vacation. which means that if your manager says its too busy for you to take time off, you don't get time off. no payout of unused vacation when you leave.
They instituted an endless vacation policy. meaning they have the right to refuse and all vacation requests for the good of the company, as no one has back ups for additional support
You technically have unlimited vacation time, but you can only take up to 2 weeks at a time, and it first has to be approved by your manager ahead of time.
DXC has weaponized the concept of "unlimited vacation" to an incredible degree. They promote this (and the utter lack of pay hikes) as part of their progressive nature.
The vacation policy is at the manager account level
Unfortunately unpaid leave and unpaid overtime
