Depends on the type of role/function, the level and the business unit you are in. There is generally good flexibility for salaried employees to leave for kid appointments, etc.. Generally, the higher up you go in management, the more you are paid but the higher the workload expected. I am a Director and on average I work 10-12h days, though not all of that is in the office. I am allowed unlimited vacation technically, though I don't typically use more than 4 wks a year, but I feel like I am in control of when and where I work. I have employees that work remotely from the cabins occasionally. Medtronic also has Summer Fridays for non-customer facing employees where you get 1/2 days off in Summer months if you put in your hours in-advance of Friday.
Very reasonable. The company encourages PTO to add flexibility to home and health .
Truly bad, day by day getting worst
Better than most workplaces.
