Pretty great actually- most people get 4wks and there's a shutdown week bw Christmas and NY where nearly everyone is offline (read: no email quicksand to Recover from!). Very flexible schedules the rest of the year for those in salaried roles typically. You work hard but you can get your kids off the bus/drop off in the am, etc. summers have "summer fridays" where you work 40h before mid-day Fri and you get PM off. (Not sure if US only.)
