
While it's certainly possible to negotiate some extra vacation time and it's probably around average among similar companies in the US...BUT - my experience was that if you want to actually take that time off, you had to beg a coworker to 'cover', which for them is like signing up for a whole extra full time job for no additional compensation. You can also forget about taking that time off over any holiday weekends or around opening day or postseason. Also, it shouldn't come as a surprise when you wind up taking calls/emails during your vacation.
