There is tremendous innovation occurring that will hopefully make transportation safer, more convenient, eliminate pollution and create more equity for San Francisco. The outcome depends a lot on having good policy to ensure that it serves the public good today and in the future. SFMTA is a great place to work for people who are smart, transportation-minded and dedicated to serving the public. If you want a easy place to kickback, this is not it. But if you want a challenging place to learn and grow, this could be a great fit. Also, make sure you pay a lot of attention to the city hiring process, deadlines and minimum job qualifications because they are not as flexible as those in the private sector.
