Mr. Marcus G. Smith has been the Chief Executive Officer of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. since February 2015 and its President since May 29, 2008. Mr. Smith served as the Chief Operating Officer of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. since May 29, 2008 until February 2015. He also serves as General Manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway. He served as Executive Vice President of national sales and marketing at Speedway Motorsports, Inc. from February 2003 to May 29, 2008. Mr. Smith joined Speedway Motorsports, Inc. in 1996 as a sales associate at Lowe's Motor Speedway. In 1999, after the successful completion of the first naming rights agreement in the motorsports industry, the renaming of Charlotte Motor Speedway to Lowe's Motor Speedway, Mr. Smith served as manager of new business development for SMI and vice president of business development in 2001. He has been a Director of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. since February 19, 2004.
