Dr. James J. Lalonde, PhD, has been Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Codexis, Inc. since February 2014 and served as its Head of Biocatalysis and Chemical Development since July 2004, is a subsidiary of Maxygen Inc. Dr. Lalonde oversaw Codexis' research and development activities directed at the application of customized biocatalysts, generated through its proprietary MolecularBreeding(TM) directed molecular evolution platform, for the production of high-value pharmaceutical chemicals. Dr. Lalonde was one of the founding scientists at Altus Biologics, holding a variety of scientific leadership positions at Codexis since 1993 and served as its Director of Biocatalysis and Chemical Development. Dr. Lalonde led a group of organic chemists, microbiologists and engineers responsible for the development and implementation of biocatalytic organic synthetic processes for small molecule drug synthesis. During his tenure at Altus, he devised, developed and scaled up numerous biocatalytic manufacturing processes in pilot and manufacturing plants in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Before joining Altus, Dr. Lalonde was a Senior Research Chemist at Vista Chemical Co. involved in new product development. Dr. Lalonde, began his career in the field of enzymes in organic synthesis at Texas A&M University, where he did post-doctoral research with Professor Chi-Huey Wong in the late 1980's. Dr. Lalonde received a HBSc. in Chemistry from Lakehead University and was awarded a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Texas A&M University.

Mr. Gordon T. B. Sangster has been Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Codexis, Inc. since August 18, 2014. Mr. Sangster was Chief Financial Officer of Confluent Medical Technologies, Inc. from October 2011 to July 2014. Mr. Sangster served as Chief Financial Officer of ITC Nexus-Dx from October 2010 to July 2011. Mr. Sangster served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance at Accriva Diagnostics (formerly Nexus Dx, Inc.) since March 2011. He served as Chief Accounting Officer of Micrus Endovascular LLC. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Micrus Endovascular LLC from November 2007 to October 2010. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance of HemoSense, Inc. from September 18, 2006 to 2007 and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Sangster served as Chief Financial Officer of Heron Therapeutics, Inc. (AP Pharma Inc). from August 2000 to October 2006, Chief Accounting Officer until September 12, 2006 and Vice President of Finance and Controller from April 1993 to July 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Sangster served five years in a variety of corporate and international financial roles of Raychem Inc. He also served in financial positions with the Cooper Companies and at CooperVision, Inc., where he served as International Controller. Mr. Sangster is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He attended the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Mr. Michael D. A. Aldridge, B.Sc (Hons)., MApFin, has been a Senior Vice President of Corporate & Strategic Development at Codexis, Inc. since October 16, 2016. Mr. Aldridge manages all aspects of Codexis??? growth initiatives, including leading the expansion of the global biocatalyst business, striking new CodeEvolver??? platform licensing agreements and building momentum in the Company's pipeline of therapeutic drug candidates. Mr. Aldridge Co-founded Sirona Therapeutics Ltd. and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President since 2015. Mr. Aldridge served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategic Development at Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since January 28, 2013. Mr. Aldridge served as the Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Director (since March 2010) at Xenome Limited. Mr. Aldridge served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Peplin Ltd. since October 10, 2003. Mr. Aldridge served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Peplin Inc., from October 10, 2003 to August 15, 2008. He served as an Investment Banker based in the US, Europe and Australia and has covered the international biotechnology industry since 1995. From 1999 to 2002, he served as an Associate Director at Bear, Stearns & Co. Healthcare Investment Banking Group, based in New York and focused on the US and European biotechnology and small cap pharmaceutical industry. He held similar positions at Volpe Brown Whelan & Company in San Francisco and with the SG Warburg Group in Sydney and London. Mr. Aldridge served as a Consultant of Peplin Inc. until May 15, 2009. He serves as a Director of Peplin Biotech Ltd. He served as a Director of Allon Therapeutics, Inc., from June 30, 2011 to January 2013. He served as a Director of Peplin Inc., from October 2003 to August 15, 2008. He served as a Director of Wilson HTM Investment Group in Brisbane from September 2002 to September 2003. Mr. Aldridge holds a B.S. in Chemistry with honors from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and an M.A. in Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
