Starting with the segment of sewing machines, the SA Elgin was founded in 1952. A family business with 100% national capital, has 3 manufacturing plants, 1 central office (in São Paulo) and another 10 kitchen's stores, with more than 1,200 employees. Present in several different branches of activity, with a range of more than 2,000 products and registered more than 25 areas of support and certification ISO 9001:2000. Over more than half a century of existence the company has diversified its operations in Brazil, producing consumer goods and industrial, and distribute products manufactured by large international companies as can be evidenced by the partnership, more than a decade, with the giant Japanese Canon. Elgin currently group has separate divisions for each segment in which it operates. The company has: Refrigeration, Info Products (Printers), Cuisine (Mobile), Automotive Sales, and Home & Office (air conditioners, sewing machines, Web Cam, fragments of paper, MP3 Player's, cartridges and media).
