Mr. Peter E. Leys served as a Partner at Baker & McKenzie, LLP since 1998 and co-head of its Brussels office's corporate finance practice group in 2009. Mr. Leys joined Baker & McKenzie, in 1990 and is based at the Brussels office. He was a member of the Belgian winning team of the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition in 1987 and was a Fullbright fellow from 1987 to 1988. Mr. Leys was admitted to practice law at the Bar of Brussels, Belgium in 1990. In 2012, Mr. Leys, who has been mentioned numerous times as a leading corporate lawyer in Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR 1000, received the International Law Office ???Client's Choice Award??? for M&A in Belgium. Mr. Leys is a Fulbright fellow and lectures a mergers and acquisitions contract design course at the KULeuven. He is fluent in Dutch, English, and French.
