First working here I expected the manager to genuinely care about the employees because Philz is such a good company. The Colma manager treats the baristas like overworked bees and doesnt seem to care about our wellbeing. We are pushed to work pending our covid test results. I dont feel comfortable.

All of the shift leads work together in harmony. We do the best we can with the situations we are given

The team and my other shift leads are great. Whenever we suggest improvements the store lead takes things personal and guilt trips us
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Again, shift leads and baristas are great to work with. Its hard to make change when the store lead cannot take constructive criticism and guilt trips sick overworked people for calling out
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel like we all do a great job coexisting eith eachother while also keeping our numbers up. I just wish we were acknowledged for our hard work instead of just noticing where we can work better
