Mr. Gary R. Maharaj has been the Chief Executive Officer and President at SurModics, Inc. since December 27, 2010. Mr. Maharaj served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Arizant Inc. He served as the Vice President of Philip Adam and Associates, a product development management consulting firm and in various management and research positions for the orthopedic and rehabilitation divisions of Smith & Nephew, PLC. He has been Director of Creagh Medical Ltd. since November 2015. He has been a Director at SurModics, Inc., since December 27, 2010 and NVE Corp. since August 2014. He is the author of numerous technical articles on medical devices and holds nineteen patents in eight countries (including the U.S.), all in the medical device field. Mr. Maharaj earned a B.Sc., in Physics from the University of the West Indies-Trinidad and Tobago and a MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Mr. Maharaj also holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.

Mr. Charles W. Olson, also known as Charlie, has been Senior Vice President of Commercial and Business Development for Medical Devices at SurModics Inc. since August 2016. Mr. Olson served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at SurModics Inc. since September 20, 2016 until September 27, 2016. Mr. Olson served as the General Manager of Medical Device and Senior Vice President at SurModics Inc. since October 2010 until September 20, 2016. Mr. Olson served as Senior Vice President of Business Development & Marketing at SurModics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He served as Vice President and General Manager of the new Cardiovascular business unit at SurModics Inc., from November 2008 March 2003. He served as Vice President of Sales at SurModics Inc. from April 2005 to November 2008. He served as General Manager and Vice President of Hydrophilic Technologies a business unit of Surmodics Inc. from October 2004 to April 2005. He joined Surmodics Inc. in 2001 as Market Development Manager and later served as its Director of Business Development since December 2002. He served as General Manager at Minnesota Extrusion from 1998 to 2001 and at Lake Region Manufacturing in project management and technical sales from 1993 to 1998. Mr. Olson received BSBA degree in Marketing from Winona State University in 1987.

Mr. Andrew D. C. LaFrence, also known as Andy, CPA, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer of Surmodics, Inc. since February 12, 2013 and November 30, 2016 respectively and has been its Vice President of Finance and Information Systems since September 20, 2016. Mr. LaFrence served as a Vice President of Finance at Surnodics, Inc. since February 12, 2013 until September 20, 2016. Mr. LaFrence served as the Chief Financial Officer at CNS Therapeutics, Inc. He has over 25 years of financial and management experience. He was an Audit Partner at KPMG LLP (Formerly KPMG Inc.), where he focused on supporting venture backed, high growth medical technology, pharmaceutical, biotech and clean tech private and public companies. He spent 26 years with KPMG. He has been a Director of Biothera, Inc., since August 29, 2011. He serves as a Director of Biothera Holding Corp., He served as Director of LifeScience Alley. Mr. LaFrence is a certified public accountant and has a B.S. in accounting and a minor in Business Administration from the Illinois State University.

Mr. Bryan K. Phillips has been Senior Vice President of Legal & Human Resources and General Counsel at SurModics, Inc. since August 2011. and September 2008 Respectively. Mr. Phillips has been Corporate Secretary of SurModics, Inc. since January 2006. He served as the Vice President and General Counsel of SurModics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since September 2008 and Secretary since January 2006. He served as Deputy General Counsel of SurModics, Inc from October 2007 to September 2008 where he joined in July 2005 as Patent Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. Prior to joining SurModics, he served as patent counsel at Guidant Corporation's Cardiac Rhythm Management Group where he was responsible for developing and implementing intellectual property strategies and also for supporting SurModics's business development function. He has been a Director of Creagh Medical Ltd. since November 2015. He also practiced law at the Minneapolis-based law firm of Merchant & Gould P.C. He is admitted to the Minnesota State Bar association and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Phillips received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1993 and a Law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1999.

Mr. Joseph J. Stich, also known as Joe, has been the General Manager of In-Vitro Diagnostics at SurModics, Inc., since August 2011 and has been its vice president since September 2013. Mr. Stich served as Vice President of Business Operations at SurModics Inc. from August 2011 to September 2013. He served as Vice President of Marketing, Corporate Development & Strateg at SurModics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and SurModics Inc. from March 2010 to August 2011. Previously, he served as Vice President of Marketing, Corporate Development & Strategy. Mr. Stich has 22 years of diverse commercial and business development experience within the biopharmaceutical industry. From 2004 to 2009, he worked at Eisai Pharmaceuticals (MGI PHARMA, Inc.), in capacities of Business Development, Vice President of Sales and Vice President Executive Advisor. He also served as President/Chief Operating Officer of Pharmaceutical Corp. of America (a subsidiary of Publicis Healthcare Specialty Group), and positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing at Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Stich served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Abraxis BioScience, LLC. Prior to Abraxis, he served as a Vice President at MGI Pharma, Inc. and also served several management positions at Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals. He holds BBA at University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 1988 and also holds an MBA at Rockhurst University in Kansas City in 1996.

Joe Stich serves as the Vice President of Surmodics. Joe started at Surmodics in March of 2010. Joe currently resides in Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area.

Charlie Olson serves as the SVP & General Manager - Medical Device Business Unit of Surmodics. Charlie currently resides in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area.
