How's the work life balance at ALOHA?
Depends on what you are looking for. I take a lot of unpaid leave. Vacation backout period is April-July and the last half of December.
How does ALOHA make decisions around promotions?
no clear policy. Not many positions to be promoted to.
How's the vacation policy at ALOHA?
Need to work at least a year to get vacation then it is based on the number of hours you worked.
How much and how often do raises happen at ALOHA?
worked 11 months so far and no raise.
How's the work pace at ALOHA?
Thursdays are the busiest, followed by Monday and Wednesday. It gets crazy busy during graduation season.
What's the best part of your job at ALOHA?
Making customers happy by being the best possible web packer.

when I first started I was overwhelmed by everything I need to learn but there was not formal training. Now it depends on the day.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at ALOHA?
Having a social life is not difficult.
How do you feel about going to work at ALOHA everyday?
Good when everyone shows up and does their job right. No so good when the boss keeps accepting excuses for why things are not done or are done incorrectly.

people willing to settle for less and willing to put up rule changes that do not make sense

be willing to work overtime and any day of week during graduation season (April-July + December)

I feel secure but I know I can be replaced.

no windows to the outside. desks/tables along the walls. only the owner has an office with a door.
How much diversity is there among employees at ALOHA?
very little. 90% Asian.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining ALOHA?
mediocrity is perfectly acceptable
How's the morale at ALOHA?
About 80% of the employees are satisfied and the other 20% have very low morale. The 20% have one foot out the door, they feel management does not treat them fairly both job assignments/duties and pay/compensation.
