Mr. Scott P. Serota serves as Manager of Health Intelligence Company, LLC. Mr. Serota has been Member of Advisory Board at Marathon Pharmaceuticals, LLC since December 20, 2016. Mr. Serota has been Chief Executive Officer and President of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) since 2000. Mr. Serota served as a senior executive, including two years as Chief Operating Officer. He also served as an Executive Vice President for System Development, responsible for new business, strategy and the Blue Technology Evaluation Center (TEC), the nation's leading source for evaluating the safety and efficacy of emerging medical treatments. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Serota served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Chicago-based Rush Prudential Health Plans, where he led the integration of Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center Health Plans and The Prudential. He also served as Vice President for Group Operations and Health Care Management with The Prudential Insurance Co., and as Vice President for Health Care Management at PruCare in St. Louis. Before joining The Prudential, he created and led Physicians Preferred Health Inc., a Missouri-based PHO. Mr. Serota was appointed by President George Bush to serve on the Policy Committee of the White House Conference on Aging, a bipartisan leadership group advising the Administration and Congress on policies, programs and services affecting the nation's older citizens. He is chairman of the Subcommittee on Health. He also is a member of the American Health Information Community (AHIC), a federally-chartered commission working with the department of Health and Human Services on advancing health information technology, including electronic health records. He is a founding member of the National Business Group on Health's Institute on Healthcare Costs and Solutions and a board member of the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare and the National Center for Healthcare Leadership. He serves as Director of The National Alliance for Health Information Technology and BCS Financial Corporation. He is also on the board of HRET (Health Research & Educational Trust), Partnership for Prevention, Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration, National Alliance for Health Information Technology, and the Blue Healthcare Bank. He serves as a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Washington University School of Medicine National Council and chairs its Alumni Association Health Administration Program. Mr. Serota is a frequent featured speaker at leading business and industry forums and has spoken at the Detroit Economic Club, the Jonathan Club in Los Angeles and the World Healthcare Congress in Washington, D.C. He is active in a variety of community activities, ranging from youth sports to the Special Olympics. He was named a distinguished alumnus of the College of Science for 2006. He earned a bachelor's degree from Purdue University and a master's in Health Administration and Planning from Washington University School of Medicine.

From 1994 until 1996, Dr. Korn was Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs for Premier Health Alliance, where he provided strategic direction and product development for risk adjusted IP and OP clinical data systems. Earlier, he served as a Principal for William M. Mercer, Inc. and as Vice President, Medical Affairs for Healthcare Compare/Affordable Healthcare Network. From 1976 until 1986, he was an internist at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. Dr. Korn received a Bachelor of Science and Medical Degrees from Tufts University. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital and at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Korn is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is a member of the American Medical Association. He a member of the Board of Directors of e-Health Initiative, Bridges to Excellence, is a member of the Hospital Quality Alliance and Ambulatory Care Quality Alliance and sits on the Steering Committees of Prometheus and Connecting for Health. He has served on several Institute of Medicine Roundtables.
