Mr. William E. Duke, Jr. has been the Chief Financial Officer of Pulmatrix, Inc. since June 24, 2015. Mr. Duke has more than 20 years of experience in finance leadership roles, with the majority coming at life sciences companies including Valeritas, Genzyme and Haemonetics. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Valeritas Holdings, Inc. (also known as Valeritas, Inc.) since January 2014 and served as its Corporate Controller since July 2011. Mr. Duke served as Chief Financial Officer of China Gateway Corporation (also known as g8wave Holdings, Inc.) from August 27, 2007 to May 16, 2008. Mr. Duke also served as Principal Accounting Officer of China Gateway Corporation until May 16, 2008. He served as a Senior Director of Finance at Genzyme Corporation and as a Director of Finance/Accounting at Haemonetics Corporation. He joined g8wave from OTF Group, Inc. (OTF), where he served as Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for Directing OTF's worldwide financial strategy and operations. While at OTF, he was responsible for financial and accounting operations, investor relations, information systems and legal and administrative matters. Prior to OTF, he served in a number of finance management roles at NerveWire, Inc., Oak Industries, Inc. and as a Senior Accountant at Deloitte & Touche LLP. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Duke holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Stonehill College, a Master of Business Administration from Bentley College.

He is a Professor of biotechnology at the University of Harvard. He is Founder of ArtScience Labs. He is a Founder of Quantum Designs, LLC. He is the Founder of WikiFoods, Vapor Communications and Cafe ArtScience and WikiCell Designs, Inc. He founded Pulmatrix, Inc. in 2003. He served as Advisor of SEAS. He serves as Director of Le Laboratoire, ArtScience Labs, Quantum Designs, LLC. and AeroDesigns, Inc. Prof. Edwards served as a Director of Pulmatrix, Inc. Prof. Edwards served as a Director of Eurofins Cerep SA (Cerep SA) since 2003. He is a biomedical engineer and writer actively involved in the translation of ideas from the university through novel medical technology and the writing, performing and visual arts. His scientific research concerns the mathematical design of novel physical parameters that allow nanostructured materials to efficiently deliver drugs and vaccines to the lungs and other human organs, with a special focus on infectious diseases in developing world nations. Current work in his laboratory includes the development of a platform for the delivery of scent in global communications for health and human betterment and edible packaging solutions for food and beverage products as vectors for improved health and environmental sustainability. Prof. Edwards has published over 70 papers on the aerosol delivery of macromolecules to the lung and a variety of related subjects. He is the winner of various national and international awards including the Theodor Herzl Award of the Jersusalem Fund and the Municipality of Jerusalem, the Smoluchowski Award of the European Aerosol Association and the Professional Progress Award of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Prof. Edwards is a three time awardee of the Ebert Prize of the American Pharmaceutical Association (1996, 1997 and 1999). He wrote Artscience: Creativity in the post-Google Generation (Harvard University Press, 2008), The Lab: Creativity and Culture (Harvard University Press 2010), and co-authored Niche (Ecole de Beaux Arts de Paris). For his work in the arts in France he was made a Chevalier dans l???ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture. He has published two textbooks (Interfacial Tranport Properties and Rheology, 1991 and Macrotransport Processes, 1993) and is the author of numerous patents in the area of drug delivery, with a special focus on novel medical aerosols. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering. Prof. Edwards is the co-author of numerous scientific publications in the fields of fluid mechanics, interfacial transport phenomena, drug delivery and aerosol science. Beyond his scientific publications, he has written widely on creativity in the arts and sciences. Prof. Edwards holds a Ph.D.

Dr. David L. Hava, Ph.D., has been the Chief Scientific Officer at Pulmatrix, Inc. since July 2012. Dr. Hava leads the Research and Development organization in the development of iSPERSE dry powder delivery platform. He directs and manages Pulmatrix's therapeutic strategy to identify and prioritize drug targets and drugs that are enabled by the iSPERSE dry powder delivery platform. He served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Ruthigen, Inc. He joined Pulmatrix in 2006 as one of the first Senior Scientists and has been involved in the early stage research and development programs that identified and characterized several of the key aspects of the Pulmatrix technology. He has co-authored over 20 papers and abstracts focused on pulmonary infectious disease, immunology and chronic lung diseases. Dr. Hava earned his PhD. in Molecular Biology and Microbiology at Tufts University and completed his Post-Doctoral Training in Immunology and Host-Pathogen Interactions at Harvard Medical School.
