Excessive and unproductive meetings. Lack of a cohesive and consistent strategy and roles/responsibilities means everyone is involved in everything, but there isn't enough ownership, accountability, and empowerment for anyone to actually drive tasks to closure
It took months--that should have been my warning sign! Very poor communication during interview/candidacy process. Insufficient opportunity to get to know the company and team Onboarding was an absolute nightmare. Took months to sort everything out
Excessively complex and bureaucratic organization - accomplishing daily administrative tasks feels like a miracle. Poor focus - strategy constantly shifts, and is not translated effectively into team-level objectives or individual goals. Performance management is effectively non-existent.
People - clearly a "profits over people" company. Happy to chew up and spit out its "most valuable asset" to line the pockets of execs and shareholders Communication - poor, inconsistent, mixed messages Leadership - frequent leadership changes leads to constant strategy shifts
