I work in one of the distribution warehouse the agents hired by the tribune to run for home delivery... we are routinely harrassed and threatened by the agent while certain ppl can show up IF or WHEN they feel like it.

With the consolidation in the industry, there is little opportunity for upward mobility. Many new tasks and responsibilities will be tacked on with no change in compensation. The "feel" is dismal. Colleagues are exiting at a fast rate. It's difficult to see a future with the organization.

How's the work life balance at Tronc Inc.?
Generally pretty good. We work hard during the workday, and leave it there. We answer Slacks or some emails after hours for urgent issues.
Good, very good.
What's the office vibe like at Tronc Inc.?
Chicago: pretty good. LA: no energy or morale
Quiet
What's the work from home policy like at Tronc Inc.?
If you’re in the Chicago office, it’s pretty sensible. People work from home whenever they need to; management knows they’re grownups, and will get their work done. The policy is much more strict in LA; you have to have an airtight excuse for not being in the office on any given day. Management is dubious of anyone not at their desk.
What benefits does Tronc Inc. provide?
Great benefits. Not worth office drama.
