What do you like best about the leadership team?
Very involved and focused on success

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Treating ppl who get up 365 days a year regardless of weather or holidays like human beings.
Communication. There has been a significant amount of change happening with our mergers. With very few people brought into conversations, decisions are made without a full review making it difficult to do our jobs. Taking care of people. If responsibilities increase, so should compensation.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Unlimited vacation days available to use

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Fair market pay for the position. Pay cuts were made in 2019, so we make less than the rate at which we were hired. As responsibilities increase from staff reductions far north of 50%, compensation should align.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are smart, passionate, and driven to do the very best for the communities we serve.
Intelligent and creative problem solvers
Some of the most talented and intelligent people I've ever worked with. We all share a passion for the mission of journalism and a belief that technology should uphold the standards and ease the jobs of the hard working reporters in the newsroom.

Actually show up to work at a decent time
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people doing the work in our communities. The heart they exhibit is phenomenal.
Open to ideas and focused on diverse thinking
I would say being comfortable to go to my boss or team with any question and know I will get quality help and not be told to figure it out
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The tribune needs to take an active interest in the conditions at their distribution centers.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was results driven rather than theoretical.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Everything... the agents would hire anyone
What makes you most happy at work?
The people I get to work with daily. Opportunities to do work outside my normal scope.

My customers often complain about cost of the paper and the one sidedness of the reporting.
