Out of 2320 Smile Brands employee reviews, 92% were positive. The remaining 8% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Smile Brands improve their work culture. The Légal team, with 100% positive reviews, reports the best experience at Smile Brands compared to all other departments at the company. Their openness in communicating company goals and wins and losses; their inclusivity companywide; and feedback with the opportunity to grow and own your functions.
To be completely honest, NO. We currently don't have much support from upper management. We are constantly being micromanage. We are expected to work short staff and under staff. I was giving additional duties and responsibility and no increase {going on over 2yrs}. The truth is, it really isn't abo
Great leadership team, truly cares about each employee and does their best to meet their employees needs along with creating a positive work environment.
My Director is very supportive and manages to take and make everything positive or understandable. Any negativity she trys to create understanding.
The thoughtfulness that goes into "how" they lead.
Caring about others opinions and taking a look at people in management to see how others feel
Communication. Flexibility. Our team meetings are always canceled. We are never told what is going on throughout the company. We hear things through whispers and phone tag. If questions are raised in a meeting, we are quickly shot down. We don't even know our manager of our entire overall dept.
Before deciding what's best for us and how we should do the Job, they should talk to us and hear how we see things and how we could contribute to improve our work.
The training here when I first started was terrible and still is lacking in so many ways. there are may other things but there is not enough space to go over them all.
Respecting their employees.. If they believe that they should be respected they should do the same. Also it wouldn't hurt if they showed empathy and consideration.
The dental benefits and work-from-home flexibility.
The number of options available.
Great Benefits which are very helpful
Nothing really, just glad to have it. Glad they finally listened to feedback and improved the 401k.
I like the 14 per hour rate at the amount of work that I put in.
It could be the smallest things, such as just showing appreciation or gratitude. Even just saying THANK YOU! Would make a difference.
Merit raise is not up to par with inflation and price increases for food, rent and transportation
Hoping it is temporary but I am taking on more work for the same pay.
I don't be I'm undervalued but when asking for just a smidge more of an increase after a really great review (over the past two years). I was turned down due to budget cost.
I think there should be more PTO offered and more sick pay (rather than just covid pay) to have more flex and take time off when needed. I also believe SBI should take more initiative to increase wages to reflect current cost of living, as other companies are currently doing.
The overall partnership and willingness to support one another and other departments as needed. I also appreciate the overall positive culture of my team and the company.
Our team is very supportive of each other, helping out when needed, picking each other up, and celebrating even small wins.
we work together to improve lives
I have one of the best teams in my office, without my team we would not be successful. I go out of my way so show my team appreciation with my own money {breakfast & lunch}
Positive team environment, family oriented and trust it built right away.
Everyone works well enough together but obvious most prefer working autonomously. M most are there to work, not be friends, which is fine, work is the priority.
Less negativity, more productivity. Some coworkers are fantastic and some are terrible.
My MWD coworkers could be more team players. my SBI coworkers are quick to help and check in with me, but it is not the same on the MWD side.
A couple of my coworkers need to be retrained on workplace bullying and should face consequences for workplace bullying that has already taken place.
i prefer to work alone
My office team members, we always work as a team.
Not sure yet, it is getting better
The executive teams vibe, I find them relatable and genuine. Leadership always conveys positive vibes.
Most positive is moving to permanent remote for the foreseeable future.
Smile Brands celebrates the small and big wins.
Try to hear more from us, know how we see things and how we would like to contribute for a better change.
Nothing that I can think of at this time.
We've gone from having celebrations of random holidays to having absolutely nothing. Not even a Smile Brands sponsored face mask. Some of us continue to be denied access to working at home when the person denying rarely is in office, that "fairness" is lacking.
I was able to meet and interview with multiple team members I would be working with.
It was one on one and it was friendly.
The opportunity to provider feedback.
Everyone was very nice and friendly and showed me around and the employees were welcoming .
Each person was very open and honest as well as informative.
My experience was over 12 years ago so i cannot apply my own experience to current. I, now, have no reservations about the current processes.
Being able to help someone in need.
The impact that I am having on patients and coworkers
Making a difference to provide a patient with a affordable smile.
Working from home and the autonomy to do my job knowing I have support
Interacting with my team members
Managers could be better at the way they speak to people
Voices to be heard about "wants/needs". Accessibility to tools to better assist all. Ensuring all team members can receive quick assistance and resolution from the IT department.
There are a lot of unknowns that happen in my day. Even though it keeps me on my toes and busy I always fear what is going to drop on us today, who is going to be mad at us or what crazy things are going to come up that we do not have control over. Last to find out but heavily impacted kind of thing
Overall the team is overworked. When finding reliable resources in other departments, they tend to be overworked as well. It is hard to provide good internal and external customer service when the volume is too high.
See previous comment about coworkers and bullying.
I like the sense of feeling empowered to make sound decisions for the business.
The pay scale in some areas.
