I think there's a lot of job security at Boeing. It's pretty rare to see people go except after a massive hiring wave. However, I never really know how close I am to being bumped out. I don't think my boss is looking out for my career or success in the company. My old boss cared a lot and kept me aware I had good job security. Now, who knows?

I am critical to my organization's success and I'm being laid off because a completely different group decided there was a surplus in my job title. No job security, even when you think it's there.

Hard to say. I rarely see people laid off, but my boss doesn't make me feel confident in my future at the company at all. My old boss did, but those days are over.
