Scripps is constantly "Transforming" I have seen money dumped into failed idea after failed idea mainly due to the lack of long term commitment. Local management seems to be a hodgepodge of other fields with little to no real television experience, just say no to Scripps.
I find Scripps to be a great place to work because they understand and promote work-life balance. The managers I have delt with have all been supportive in my daily roles and in my career advancement.

It is what you make it. It is preached, it is encouraged, if you do it or not is up to you though. No one will make you take time off.
