Mr. Insolia is the leader of the Business Law Department in Goodwin Procter's New York office, represents and advises a wide range of clients involved in the capitalization of real estate through public and private capital markets. A member of the firm's nationally recognized REITs & Real Estate Capital Markets Practice, Mr. Insolia has assisted clients with complex real estate financings (including senior and subordinate debt structures), and preferred equity and mezzanine financings; portfolio acquisitions and dispositions of real estate and loans secured by real estate; REIT IPOs and follow-on public equity and debt offerings; mergers and acquisitions of real estate operating companies; contributions of real estate for stock and operating partnership units; creation of commingled funds to invest in real estate, public and private real estate companies, and high-yield debt secured by real estate; creation of private equity opportunity funds; commercial mortgage securitizations; and the restructuring of real estate partnerships in anticipation of public market executions. Many of these transactions have involved significant multifamily, office, hospitality, industrial and retail properties throughout the United States. Mr. Insolia is admitted to practice in New York. He completed his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1984 and a B.A. from New York State University College at New Paltz in 1979.

Mr. Budd served as an Executive Vice President and General Counsel of John Hancock Financial Services Inc of Boston, MA since 2000 until 2004. He served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of John Hancock Life Insurance Company. Mr. Budd served as Group President of New England of Bell Atlantic Corporation (now Verizon Communications Inc.) from 1996 to 2000, where he was responsible for regulatory and legislative functions for the New England region. He served as a Senior Partner in the Corporate and Litigation Departments of Goodwin and Procter in Boston MA. He served as a Senior Partner of Goodwin Procter LLP from 1993 to 1996. Mr. Budd has over 40 years of legal experience in the public and private sectors. Mr. Budd held a number of high-profile positions in federal and state government over the course of his career. From 1992 to 1993, he served as an Associate Attorney General of the United States. He oversaw the Civil Rights, Environmental, Tax, Civil and Anti-Trust Divisions at the Department of Justice, as well as the Bureau of Prisons. Mr. Budd served as a Senior Partner at the Boston law firm of Goodwin Procter LLP from 1993 to 1996.
