Money is not being spent on the right things and we are in desperate need of so many things, and none of it is happening.
Servers and bartenders need to be appreciated more. Breaks need to happen. Raises should occur. People shouldn't be afraid going to work because the culture there is so hostile.
My co-workers were some of the only good things about working at Sunday River. The customers can be hit or miss in the summer, but in the winter they are great. Typically the coworker's summer or winter is a good group of people trying to make it in this world.
My direct manager was the only competent human being that I ever interacted with at Sunday River- literally, everyone else did not seem cut out or qualified for their positions, but we were supposed to believe they were and could get the job done even when they repeatedly do not. It is embarrassing.
Hard work is almost never appreciated. A single word of thanks might be all you get, maybe. The more you do, the more they expect, and you'll still get paid the same. Shifts are all 8-15 hours long, on your feet, no break, and they expect you to smile and be polite throughout. All servers feel this
