we have a strong culture of friendship, family, and performance.
Working with teams outside of my core group, solving difficult problems, seeing the value we create for customers, seeing how customers can leverage our products in ways even we did not imagine, learning.
There are some really smart, and caring people on our leadership team. But there are also some that I cant quite figure out what they do. I just have to trust that Scott is leading and mentoring them.
My teams enjoy coming in and working together. Some HR initiatives however feel forced and don't move the needle. Culture is still somewhat local. Scott has done quite a bit for the employees over the last couple years.
Compensation is improving however it is mismatched with our goals. We lose too many good performers. Our culture is great, but culture is just one piece. Many just cant ignore the salaries available elsewhere. In a technologically connected world location is increasingly irrelevant.
