He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc from February 14, 2015 to December 30, 2015. He served as Senior Operating Partner of Apollo Global Management, LLC. He served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cap Juluca. He was a Co-Owner of the Philadelphia 76ers, Inc., a professional U.S. basketball team and served as its Chief Executive Officer since September 2011 until July 2013. He served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of World Leisure Partners, Inc., a personal consultancy for matters related to travel and tourism and high-end real estate development and which acts in partnership with Apollo since 2006. He served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Vail Summit Resorts, Inc. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vail Resorts Inc., from July 1996 to 2006; President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line, from 1993 to 1996; Senior Vice President of Marketing for United Airlines, from 1990 to 1993; and Senior Vice President of Marketing for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, from 1987 to 1990. He has been a Director of Prestige Cruises International Inc. since April 2007; NCL Corporation, Ltd., since January 2008; Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., since January 2008 and Barcelo Crestline since December 29, 1998. He serves on the board of directors of Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Oceania Cruises, Inc. and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and was a Member of the Young President??? Organization and Business Executives for National Security. He served as a Director of Diamond Resorts Corporation since October 1997, Global Ship Lease, Inc. since May 2006 and Nextel Partners, Inc. from July 2002 to June 26, 2006. He served as a Director of Rewards Network Inc. from February 2004 to May 12, 2008 and FTD Group, Inc. from April 2005 to August 26, 2008. He served as Director of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. from August 2006 to December 30, 2015. He served as Vice Chairman of the National Finance Committee of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee for the 2008 election cycle. He was selected by the U.S. Secretary of Defense to participate in the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference in 2004, was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture to served on the board of directors of the National Forest Foundation from 2000 to 2006 and was a delegate to President Clinton's 1995 White House Conference on Travel and Tourism.
