Mr. Bryan J. McEntire, MBA, PhD, has been the Chief Technology Officer at Amedica Corporation since May 2012. Mr. McEntire served as Vice President of Manufacturing at Amedica Corporation since August 2004 until May 2012 and served as its Vice President of Research since December 2006 until May 2012. Mr. McEntire has more than 30 years of experience in advanced ceramic product development, quality engineering and manufacturing. Since 1998, he served as Senior Director of supply chain management in Applied Materials in Silicon Valley from April 1998 to August 2004, where Mr. McEntire managed the supply chain, which included the negotiation of supply contracts and supervision of vendor production of various parts, including precision ceramic parts, which were integrated into the capital equipment made and sold by Applied Materials. He served as the General Manager, Norton Advanced Ceramics, a division of Saint-Gobain Industrial Ceramics Corporation from 1993 to 1998, where he managed four manufacturing plants in the U.S, all dedicated to the production of innovative ceramic products. He has broad based experience in small to high volume manufacture of high quality cost competitive advanced products. Mr. McEntire is also an internationally recognized expert in ceramics, served as an invited lecturer at the American Ceramic Society and National Institute of Ceramics Engineers. His experience and knowledge in all aspects of precision high technology ceramics products, especially in manufacturing operations and supply chain management, provides him a unique ability to lead Amedica's advancement of its innovative orthopedic products through development and clinical trials, toward commercial introduction. He holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering and Operations Management, respectively, both from the University of Utah and a Ph.D. from the Kyoto Institute of Technology.
