Dr. Charles A. Nicolette, Ph.D., has been Chief Scientific Officer at Argos Therapeutics, Inc. (formerly MERIX Bioscience, Inc) since December 2007 and has been its Vice President of Research & Development since December 2004. Dr. Nicolette joined Argos Therapeutics in August 2003. Dr. Nicolette has extensive experience in the field of cancer vaccines and is the inventor on dozens of patent applications and issued patents relating to vaccine development for cancer and infectious diseases. Dr. Nicolette was formerly the Director of Antigen Discovery at Genzyme Molecular Oncology where he developed SPHERE technology, the subject of one of the largest biotechnology deals ever done in the field of tumor antigen discovery. He is an expert in cellular immunology and has substantial immunological sophistication. Dr. Nicolette received his Ph.D. in biochemistry and cellular and developmental biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, completed his doctoral dissertation and post-doctoral fellowship at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

Dr. Richard D. Katz, M.D., M.B.A., has been the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Argos Therapeutics, Inc. since July 11, 2016. Dr. Katz served as the Chief Financial Officer at Viamet Pharmaceuticals Holdings, LLC since February 2012 and served as its Treasurer. He has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare finance and corporate development. Dr. Katz served as Chief Business and Financial Officer at Viamet Pharmaceuticals, Inc., since March 2012. Dr. Katz was responsible for strategic planning and direction, overseeing commercial and financial operations and execution of the corporate and business development activities. He served as the Chief Business & Financial Officer at Viamet Pharmaceuticals Holdings, LLC. Dr. Katz served as the Chief Financial Officer of Icagen, Inc., since April 2001 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer since November 10, 2005. Dr. Katz served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Finance of Icagen, Inc., since March 2008 and served as its Treasurer since April 2001. Dr. Katz has over 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and 6 years of investment banking experience. He served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Finance of Icagen, Inc., from April 2001 to March 2008. He worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Company, as a Vice President in the Healthcare Group from August 1996 to 2001. At Icagen, Dr. Katz was instrumental in the successful completion of the initial public offering, the execution of strategic collaborations with Abbott Laboratories, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. Dr. Katz earned a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School where he graduated as a Baker Scholar. He earned his M.D. from the Stanford University School of Medicine and completed an internship in General Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Katz received his A.B in Applied Mathematics with high distinction from Harvard University.

Mr. William N. Wofford, also known as Bill, serves as Head of Corporate Development, General Counsel and Manager of Arrivo BioVentures LLC. Mr. Wofford is a co-founder and General Counsel and Head of Corporate Development for Arrivo Management LLC. Mr. Wofford serves as Secretary at Argos Therapeutics, Inc. He has been the lead attorney on all in- licensing, out-licensing, M&A and financings for each of these companies. Mr. Wofford serves as the Primary Corporate Counsel for Aerial, Neuronex and Addrenex. Mr. Wofford served as Assistant Secretary of Argos Therapeutics, Inc. He served as Assistant Secretary and Corporate Counsel at Qualyst Transporter Solutions, LLC. Mr. Wofford is a Member of Hutchison & Mason PLLC. Mr. Wofford has an extensive corporate and transactional experience in the fields of high technology. In addition, Mr. Wofford leads the biopharmaceutical and life sciences practice at Hutchison PLLC. His legal practice focuses on structuring and negotiating transactions for drug development, biotechnology, medical device, and other companies. Mr. Wofford assists growing and established companies raise capital, acquire and out-license technology, collaborate with strategic partners and engage in mergers and acquisitions. Since 1997, he has served the Research Triangle's entrepreneurial community. Mr. Wofford assists biotechnology and drug discovery clients with raising capital, licensing technologies, collaborating and mergers and acquisitions.
