
Unions negotiate their own plans, if it is not desirable, talk to the union leadership. For non-union, the plan is equitable, the schedule aligns with industry. As a non-union employee, my pay and benefits are great and the vacation and holiday schedules are a bonus, why do we need the union?
Terrible. No vacation for starting union employees, but non union gets 3 weeks. Makes it hard to balance life, family and work. HR says it would cost money, but offering vacation would bring a better pool of good talent into BAE when hiring.
Vacation for full time employment is earned by pay period. 4 years or less you get 120 hours a year and 5 to 19 years you get 160 hours a year and for 20 years plus you get 200 hours.
Pretty good, especially if you can makeup time and not have to use your vacation days.
