Mr. Robert R. Chapman, III has been the President of Bank of the James Financial Group Inc. since January 2004 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Chapman also has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Bank of the James, a subsidiary of Bank of the James Financial Group Inc. since January 2004 and January 2003 respectively. He served as Executive Vice President of Bank Of The James from July 1999 to December 31, 2002. From June 1998 to July 1999, he served as Organizer of Bank of the James. He served as Vice President of Commercial Lending and Branch Manager of Crestar Bank. Mr. Chapman has been a Director of Bank of the James Financial Group Inc. and Bank Of The James since 2004 and 1998 respectively. He has served as a board member of Lynch's Landing, board member of the Court Appointed Special Advocates Program, board member of the Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Chairman of the United Way of Central Virginia giving campaign since 2008, is the President of the Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation and also serves on the board of Amazement Square and the Centra Foundation, is a member of First Presbyterian Church and The Lynchburg Rotary Club. In addition to his extensive experience in bank administration, asset/liability management, residential and commercial real estate lending and business and industry lending, he has experience in the day-to-day management of the Bank and knowledge of business and operations. He served as First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Mr. Chapman is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute where he received a bachelor's degree in Economics.

Mr. J. Todd Scruggs has been Secretary and Treasurer at the James Financial Group Inc. since January 2004. Mr. Scruggs has been an Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of Bank of the James, a subsidiary of Bank of the James Financial Group Inc. since January 2003 and also serves as its Secretary and Treasurer. He served as Vice President of Bank of the James, with responsibilities in operations, investment and financial analysis from 1999 to December, 2002. Mr. Scruggs was an Organizer of Bank of the James from June, 1998 to July, 1999. Previously, he served as Financial Consultant and Investment Representative at Crestar Investment Group. Prior to that, he was a tax specialist and financial analyst for Ericsson GE Mobile Communications and Assistant to the Vice President of Finance and Controller of Old Dominion Box Company, Inc. He has been Director of Bank of the James Financial Group Inc. and Bank of the James since February 20, 2007. He serves on the board of Central Virginia Community College Foundation, serves on the Board of the E.C. Glass Foundation and is involved with the Alliance for Families and Children's Ways to Work Program. He has served on the board and been the treasurer of the Virginia School of the Arts. He has experience in preparing and reviewing complex financial information, investment, asset/liability management and regulatory matters. He has a Bachelor of Science in commerce from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce. Mr. Scruggs also graduated from the University South Carolina School of Graduate Bank Investment Management.

Mr. Brian E. Cash has been President of Bank of The James Mortgage at Bank of the James Financial Group Inc., since 2010. Mr. Cash serves as Vice President of Bank Of The James. He served as Vice President and Manager of Bank of the James Financial Group Inc. since 2006. He served as Senior Vice President Bank of The James Mortgage at Bank of the James Financial Group Inc., since 2008. Mr. Cash was responsible for overseeing the operation of the bank's mortgage division as well as the management of its loan originators and support staff. He joined Bank of the James in 2004 as a mortgage consultant and retail loan officer. He is enrolled as a third year participant at the American Bankers Association (ABA) Stonier Graduate School of Banking and graduate in 2014. Mr. Cash is active in the community and has volunteered for The United Way, The Salvation Army and The Daily Bread. Mr. Cash is a 2002 cum laude graduate of Lynchburg College and holds a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance.

Glenn G. Dillon has been President of BOTJ Investment Group Inc., a subsidiary of Bank of the James Financial Group Inc., since 2006. From 1998 to 2006, Mr. Dillon served as Regional Vice President of UBS Securities (and its predecessor J.C. Bradford) in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Mr. Harry P. Umberger, Jr., has been an Executive Vice President and Senior Credit Officer of Bank of the James, a subsidiary of James Financial Group Inc. since December 2007 and 2003 respectively. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Umberger served as Senior Vice President of Bank Of The James. He joined the Bank of the James in 2001 as a Vice President and Commercial Lender. He started his banking career in 1990 with Sovran Bank. He had also worked with two other Region 2000 community banks prior to joining Bank of the James. He serves on the Strategic and Facilities Master Plan Steering Committee for Campbell County Schools. He also serves on the schools' Local Advisory Committee for the Gifted. Mr. Umberger coaches youth sports with both the Timbrook Youth Basketball League and the Timbrook Little League. Mr. Umberger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampden-Sydney College with majors in both Economics and Spanish. He is also a Graduate of the Virginia Banker's School of Bank Management.
