Dr. Peter T. Kissinger, also known as Pete, Ph.D. has been Scientific Advisor of Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. since May 1, 2017. Dr. Kissinger serves as Scientific Advisor of Shantani Proteome Analytics Pvt. Ltd. In 2007, Dr. Kissinger co-founded Phlebotics, Inc., and serves as its Chairman and Acting Chief Executive Officer. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Prosolia, Inc. from 2005 to October 2010. Dr. Kissinger founded Bioanalytical Systems Inc. (BASi) in 1974 and served as its Executive Chairman since 1974. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President at Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. from 1974 to August 25, 2006 and also served as its Chief Scientific Officer from September 27, 2006 to August 28, 2007. He is a highly recognized pioneer in hydrodynamic techniques for the neurosciences, modern liquid chromatography and in vivo methodology for drug metabolism. He served as an Executive Director of Bioanalytical Systems Inc. since 1974. He was a Founder of the first Purdue new business incubator, INventure, in the late 1980s. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety. He serves as the Chairman of Tienta Sciences, Inc. Dr. Kissinger serves as the Chairman Emeritus of Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. He served as the Chairman at Prosolia, Inc. since October 2010 and has been its Director since October 2010. He has been a Director of Chembio Diagnostics, Inc. since June 2011. He serves as a Director of S2w, Inc. He serves on the boards of the Indiana Health Industry Forum; and Tymora, a recent Purdue-based startup company. He serves as a Part-time Professor of Chemistry at Purdue University, where he has been teaching since 1975. He is a columnist for the trade publication Drug Discovery News. He served as a Research Associate at the University of Kansas from 1970 to 1972 and an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University from 1972 to 1975. Dr. Kissinger's academic research involved the development of modern liquid chromatography techniques and in vivo methodology for drug metabolism and the neurosciences. He has presented more than 400 invited lectures. He has published more than 240 scientific papers and is a Fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He was a finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Indiana Heartland region for 2001 and 2002. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Commercialization Award for Purdue University Faculty. Dr. Kissinger has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Union College in 1966 and a Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina in 1970.
