Team lead is smart and nice, manager is also nice.
The compensation package was better and more flexible before the acquisition by Q2. The vacation accrual rate was better and there was actually PTO/sick accrual.
Better compensation, maybe start some community service or make some more environmentally conscious moves around the office to show employees that they care about things other than the product and money.
Giving people comp time or raises when they work really hard. Recognizing when smart people are doing good work, and when dumb people aren't, and not being afraid to fire people who are dragging down the team.
Too much work for not enough people, promises made to clients without buy-in from affected parties. Pay at least market rate for the talent acquired or they're going to leave. Allow people the chance for professional development.
