Mr. Brian Charles Ferguson, C.A., has been Advisor of Cenovus Energy Inc. since November 2, 2017. Mr. Ferguson served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Cenovus Energy Inc. since November 30, 2009 until November 2, 2017. Mr. Ferguson was accountable for overall leadership of Cenovus's strategic and operational performance. His business experience spans a variety of areas including finance, business development, reserves, strategic planning, evaluations and communications. Mr. Ferguson served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of EnCana Corporation since March 1, 2006 and also served as its Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, where he was responsible for three primary functions: investor relations; business development, which included corporate strategic planning, acquisitions and divestitures and corporate reserve evaluations and a combined legal and corporate secretarial team. He joined AEC in 1984 and became a member of the Management Team in 1994. He serves as the Chairman of CICA's (Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants) Risk Oversight and Governance Board. He has been an Independent Director at The Toronto-Dominion Bank since March 26, 2015. He served as Chairman of the Calgary Police Foundation in 2011 and a year later, he was named Calgary's first Honorary Deputy Police Chief. He is a board member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. He has served on several other boards, including the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) Board of Governors. He is active in supporting the community. He is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA). Mr. Ferguson is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta (FCPA). Mr. Ferguson graduated from the University of Alberta in 1980 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and holds an Executive Management program from University of Western Ontario in 1993. Mr. Ferguson received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1983.

Mr. Harbir Singh Chhina has been the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice-President at Cenovus Energy Inc. since May 18, 2017. Mr. Chhina served as an Executive Vice President of Oil Sands Development at Cenovus Energy Inc. since September 1, 2015 until May 18, 2017. Mr. Chhina is accountable for developing Cenovus??? oil sands growth potential including Foster Creek, Christina Lake, Narrows Lake and its new resource plays. He is also accountable for technology development that is specifically focused on improving Cenovus??? operations and ensuring its information services support its business needs. He has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of enhanced oil recovery including technology, business and organizational development. He served as Executive Vice-President of Oil Sands at Cenovus Energy from December 1, 2010 to May 26, 2015 and Executive Vice-President of Enhanced Oil Development & New Resource Plays from November 2009 to November 2010. He was instrumental in the initial application of steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) technology on a commercial basis. From November 2004 to November 2009, Mr. Chhina held the following positions with EnCana: such as Vice-President, Upstream Operations, Integrated Oil Division since January 1, 2007; and Vice-President, Oil Recovery Business Unit from April 16, 2003 to December 31, 2006. Mr. Chhina holds Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the Niagara Institute.

Mr. Ivor Melvin Ruste, F.C.A. has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice-President of Cenovus Energy Inc., since November 30, 2009. Mr. Ruste oversees a team accountable for Cenovus' financial, risk and compliance functions including accounting and financial reporting, financial performance and analysis, treasury, tax, financial, market and enterprise risk and acquisitions and divestitures. He is also accountable for Cenovus??? supply chain management and procurement activities as well as oversight of its security, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), business conduct and ethics, enterprise assurance which includes internal audit and COMS assurance and other corporate policy compliance. Mr. Ruste has been active for over 25 years in numerous other business, community and professional activities. Mr. Ruste served as the Chief Risk Officer at EnCana Corporation, Cenovus Energy's predecessor company since January 1, 2008 and served as its Executive Vice President of Corporate Responsibility. He also served as a Vice President of Finance for EnCana Corporation. He served as an Executive Vice-President of EnCana Corporation since January 1, 2008. He joined EnCana on May 1, 2006 as a Vice President of Finance of the Corporate Finance Group and served as its Vice President of Finance for the Integrated Oil Division since January 1, 2007. Mr. Ruste was a Partner and the Office Managing Partner of Edmonton of KPMG LLP from February 1998 to April 2006 and was its Alberta Regional Managing Partner. He served as Vice Chair of KPMG Canada Board of Directors from December 2003 to March 2006. He serves as a Director of KPMG Canada. He serves on the Board of Directors/Governors for the University of Alberta. Mr. Ruste serves on the University of Alberta Alumni Council. He is a Member of the Canadian and Alberta Chartered Professional Accountants. He serves on the Boards of, or in leadership positions with, organizations including United Way and the Young President' Organization as well as other professional organizations and committees throughout his career. He served as an Independent Director of Stantec Inc. since February 21, 2007 until May 11, 2017. He was a Board Member at Grant MacEwan College, The Support Network and Edmonton Symphony Foundation. He was a Director of University of Alberta School of Business Alumni Association from 2000 to 2002. He was a Member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers Board of Governors. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA). Mr. Ruste holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with distinction) from the University of Alberta in 1977.
