Dr. Solomon H. Snyder, M.D. served as a Consultant to Guilford Pharmaceuticals Inc. since August 1993. Dr. Snyder is a Senior Advisor of the Scientific Advisory Board of Red Abbey Venture Partners, LLC. He is the Founder of Cerecor Inc. and serves as its Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Snyder is a Co-Founder of Sova Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and serves as its Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board. He serves as Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board at QRxPharma Limited. He serves as an Advisory Board Member at Camden Partners Holdings, LLC. He serves as an Advisory Board Member at Camden Partners Holdings, LLC. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Camden Partners Exelixis Fund, L.P. Dr. Snyder served as a Director of Guilford Pharmaceuticals Inc. since its inception in July 1993. Dr. Snyder was a Member of the Board of Directors of Scios, Inc. since April 2003. He helped start Nova Pharmaceuticals. He is Distinguished Service Professor of Neuroscience, Pharmacology and Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He served as Director of the Department of Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1980 to 2006. He is the recipient of numerous professional honors, including the Albert Lasker Award for Basic Biomedical Research in 1978, the Wolf Foundation Prize in Medicine in 1983, the Dickson Prize of the University of Pittsburgh in 1983, the Bower Award from the Franklin Institute in 1991, the Bristol-Myers-Squibb Award for Distinguished Achievement in Neuroscience Research in 1996 and the Gerard Prize of the Society for Neuroscience in 2000. Dr. Snyder is the author of more than 1000 journal articles and several books, including Uses of Marijuana (1971), Madness and the Brain (1974), The Troubled Mind (1976), Biological Aspects of Abnormal Behavior (1980), Drugs and the Brain (1986), and Brainstorming (1989). In 1966, Dr. Snyder joined the staff of the Department of Pharmacology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He received his undergraduate and medical training at Georgetown University and his psychiatric training at The Johns Hopkins University. He received Honorary Doctor of Science degrees from Northwestern University in 1981, Georgetown University in 1986, Ben Gurion University in 1990, Albany Medical College in 1998 and Technion University of Israel in 2002. Dr. Snyder is a graduate of Georgetown College and Georgetown Medical School in Washington, D.C.
