
Back in 2012 when I first started, we were more or less a loose coalition of Mavericks with much of the day to day business being conducted via tribal knowledge or so it seemed. So then not very helpful outside of interesting conversations between Incidents. Today we are infinitely more organized and things are much better documented to integrate newcomers, we also have a program that I helped start which partners up new engineers with senior engineer mentors in weekly 1 on 1's to speed up their development technically and professionally. Everything is written down to keep from re-inventing the wheel and share best practices.
