How's the vacation policy at Community Health Plan of Washington?
CHPW strives for a good work-life balance, and time off is regularly approved except during certain times of year when staffing needs are highest (usually October-January, to cover Open Enrollment). Paid time off (PTO) is accrued based on hours worked, and first-year employees can accrue a max of 17 days off in the first year. This time is for both vacation and sick leave. There is a separate benefit for short-term and long-term leave to cover for hospital stays if the employee's PTO bank is exhausted, but they have to use up all accrued PTO first.
