Every job description I've had at this company has also included countless off-script duties. They need to be more definitive in who does what. A 500-person company shouldn't continue to operate like a startup. It needs structure, upward mobility, and more involved leadership.
We're hideously disorganized and every time I push for us to align on a single platform, organize our thoughts, and make everyone's lives easier, there is pushback and resistance because people are hesitant to learn a new platform.
If I were paid the industry standard for the role I was working that'd be swell. If i was paid what I know I deserve, even better. If marketing leadership actually talked to their employees rather than making outrageous assumptions, maybe they would fully understand the level of work individuals do.
