His active US military service included serving in the San Diego; California based S-3 Squadron VS-33 where he was deployed on US aircraft carriers. He is a Member of USAF Logistics Officers Association (LOA), Alumni of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU), and a past Member of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association (LMLA). He is certified in Six Sigma / Lean processes and techniques. He completed three levels of the Lockheed Martin Executive Assessment and Development Program. Mr. Brandt holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in Finance and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from National University in San Diego and Los Angeles.

Mr. Jason Childs has been President for Control & Communication Systems Group at Esterline Technologies Corporation since April 11, 2017. Mr. Childs has been with Esterline for six years in increasingly challenging positions, including Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for the company's Engineered Materials division and President for one of the Engineered Materials operating units.
