Ms. Shelby E. Sherard, CPA has been Chief Financial Officer and Secretary at Fidus Investment Corporation since June 2, 2014 and its chief compliance officer since August 11, 2014. Ms. Sherard serves as a Partner at Fidus Investment Advisors, LLC. She joined the Fidus Investment Advisors in 2014. Ms. Sherard served as Financial Executive at Prologis, Inc., first serving as the Chief Financial Officer, Americas and then overseeing the U.S. tax department. she served as the Finance Director for Chicago Union Station Development Company, LLC. Ms. Sherard served as the Chief Financial Officer of Grubb & Ellis Realty Advisors, Inc. from October 2005 to December 29, 2006 and Principal Accounting Officer until December 29, 2006. Ms. Sherard served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Grubb & Ellis Co. from October 12, 2005 to December 29, 2006. She served as Principal Accounting Officer of Grubb & Ellis Co. From 2002 to 2005, Ms. Sherard served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Sitestuff, Inc. She joined SiteStuff from Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division, where she served Morgan Stanley's clients on a variety of M&A transactions in the power & utilities, real estate and retail industries. From 2000 to 2002, Ms. Sherard served as an Associate in the Investment Banking division at Morgan Stanley, where she focused on Global Power & Utilities, Real Estate and Mergers and Acquisitions. Prior to Morgan Stanley, she spent four years at LaSalle Partners where she was responsible for financial projections and analyses, investor relations and M&A execution. From 1994 to 1998, Ms. Sherard served in the Corporate Finance Group at La Salle Partners Incorporated (now Jones Lang La Salle Incorporated) and also served as a Financial Analyst until her promotion to Associate in 1996. Ms. Sherard has more than 20 years of finance experience. Ms. Sherard is a CPA. She holds an M.B.A. with an Accounting and Finance concentration from The Wharton School and a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a Master's degree in Tax from the University of Illinois.
