Dr. Glenn S. Penny, Ph.D. serves as Director of Technology at Flotek Industries Inc. Dr. Penny served as Director of Technical Information at Flotek Industries Inc. since December 2006 and President & Chief Technical Officer of Flotek Industries Inc., since with the closing of the merger between Flotek Industries Inc. and Chemical & Equipment Specialties, Inc. (CESI) on October 31, 2001. Dr. Penny is also a Partner in Oklahoma Facilities, LLC which leases commercial properties in the Duncan area and also a Partner in Oklahoma Stimulation Chemicals LLC. Dr. Penny founded CESI in April 2000 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer until the Merger. He engineered the Flotek acquisition of IBS, a green chemical company in Denver Colorado. He was worked to integrate the IBS product lines and related products into CESI Chemical sales. In August 2003, he aided the employees of Equipment Specialties to purchase the assets from Flotek to form Special Equipment Manufacturing, Inc. (SEM). Prior to founding CESI, Dr. Penny served as President of Stim-Lab, Inc., a company specializing in independent testing of completion fluids and methods, from its founding in 1985 to April 2000. Dr. Penny has been a Director of Flotek Industries Inc., since October 31, 2001. He serves on the Board of Directors of SEM. Dr. Penny holds a BS degree in Chemistry from Trinity University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Houston. Stim-Lab, Inc. was acquired by Core Laboratories N.V., an NYSE-listed oilfield service company, in 1997.
