Mr. William Bruce Elmore, also known as Bill, serves as the General Partner and Co-Founder of Foundation Capital. Mr. Elmore founded Foundation Capital in 1995 and invests primarily in cloud applications and cloud infrastructure, including security. He serves as an Advisor of Physiq, Inc. (formerly VGBio, Inc.). He has extensive business experience in the financial services industry. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated from January 2001 to August 16, 2012. He served as a Manager at FC Leadership Management Co., LLC. From 1987 to 1995, he was General Partner at Inman & Bowman for eight years. He served as a Vice President at Value Chain from July 1999 to December 2000; Vice President of Business Systems from August 1998 to June 1999; Vice President, Treasurer from June 1996 to July 1998; and Vice President, Regional Manager for the Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee Divisions from August 1991 to May 1996. He served at CO Liquidation Inc. Mr. Elmore served as the President of Visual Engineering and in a variety of key marketing management roles at Hewlett-Packard. He served as a Product Manager for scientific computing at Hewlett Packard. He has been Chairman of the Board of XMOS, Ltd. since May 29, 2017. He served as the Chairman of XMOS, Ltd. until July 25, 2016 and serves as its Non Executive Director. He served as the Vice Chairman and Director of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated since August 16, 2012 until November 30, 2015 and from January 2001 to November 30, 2015 respectively. He has been a Director of Azure Power India Private Limited since August 2015 and AZI since November 2013. Mr. Elmore serves as a Director of The Coca-Cola Bottlers' Association, Inc.; Freewheel, Purfresh, Inc.; Zetta Inc., HotLink Corporation; SpringCM Inc., SilkRoad Technology and XMOS Semiconductor. He has been a Board Member of Venafi, Inc. since November 2006. He serves on the Board of CloudShield Technologies, Inc, Pilot Network Services, Inc., UXComm; gForce Systems; Packet Design; Qstrategies; Shoreline Communications; Vernier Networks; Wherenet as well as several privately held companies. He has served on the Advisory Council at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He serves as a Board Member of the Eastside College Preparatory School and Purdue Research Foundation. He served as a Director of National Venture Capital Association. He served as Director and President of Western Association of Venture Capitalists and Precept Software, Inc. Mr. Elmore was actively involved in defining, serving and representing the interests of the venture capital and private equity industries. He served as a Director of Azure Power Global Limited from August 2015 to March 31, 2017. He served as a Director of Virtugo Software, Inc., Onyx Software Corp., since 1996, Helpstream, Inc., Atheros Communications (ATHR); CloudShield; TeaLeaf Technology Inc.; and Attensity360. He served as a Director of Wind River Systems Inc., from August 1990 to June 13, 2007. He served as a Director of Autonomic Networks, Inc., MarkMonitor Inc., and Quartics, Inc. He served as a Director of Qualcomm Atheros, Inc., from December 1998 to April 30, 2005. He served as a Director of Solarflare Communications, Inc. He has a long history of building strong organizations from the inside. He is actively involved in the areas of education and entrepreneurship in the US and in developing countries. He has a combination of venture and operating experience. Mr. Elmore holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
