Mr. Onno van de Stolpe co-founded Galapagos NV in 1999 and has been Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director since 1999. Mr. van de Stolpe served as the Managing Director Genomics at IntroGene BV. He joined IntroGene in 1998. He served as the Managing Director of Molecular Probes Europe bv. He established this European headquarters of Molecular Probes, Inc. in 1995. He joined the Eugene-based organization in the USA in 1994. He worked for the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency in California, where he was responsible for recruiting biotech and medical device companies to locate in the Netherlands. He started his career as a Manager Business Development at MOGEN NV in Leiden. He serves as an Executive Director of Galapagos NV. Mr. van de Stolpe serves as a Member of Supervisory Board at DCPrime B.V. Mr. van de Stolpe received MSc degree from the Agricultural University in Wageningen.

Mr. Bart Filius, MBA, has been the Chief Financial Officer of Galapagos NV since December 1, 2014 and its Chief Operational Officer since September 8, 2017. Mr. Filius serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sanofi Europe. He has over 13 years' experience at Sanofi. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Country Manager of Sanofi in the Netherlands. Before that, he was Vice President for Mergers & Acquisitions, during which time he led and completed the divestiture of various franchises. He has been Director of Zentiva N.V., since April 3, 2009. Mr. Filius holds a bachelor's degree in business from Nyenrode University and master's degree in business administration from INSEAD in 1996.

Mr. Herman de Kock, Ph.D., serves as the Head of Development at Galapagos NV. Mr. de Kock serves as Vice President of Chemical Research & Development at SEPS Pharma NV. He has been involved in a number of successful early development programmes. In 1999, he joined Tibotec, where he held different positions of increasing responsibility overseeing research to early development activities for a number of new HIV and HCV compounds. In 2007, he became Director combining roles as Chem-Pharm team leader and Early Compound Development team leader. In 2009, he was awarded the Philip B. Hofmann Research Scientist Award for his contribution to the discovery of TMC435. Mr. de Kock is an Organic Chemist Graduated from Ghent University and holds a Ph.D. from Antwerp University.

Dr. Andre Hoekema, PhD, has been Chief Business Officer of Galapagos NV since September 8, 2017. Dr. Hoekema served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Galapagos NV until September 8, 2017. Dr. Hoekema has 20 years of biotech experience. Dr. Hoekema served as Managing Director of Galadeno Unit at Galapagos NV. He served with Invitrogen Corporation, where he served as the Managing Director of Corporate Development Europe. He served as Managing Director of Molecular Probes Europe. He served at Crucell as Director of Business Development. He served at DSM Life Sciences in R&D and Project Management and Genentech in R&D. He serves as a Member of Supervisory Board at VitalneXt B.V. He serves as the Member of the Board of Directors at MIMETAS B.V. His thesis focused on the invention of the binary vector system, a novel approach to plant genetic engineering. He is the inventor of over 20 series of patent applications and has authored more than 30 scientific articles. Dr. Hoekema has a PhD in Physics and Mathematics from Leiden University.

Ms. Ellen Van Der Aar serves as Head of Development at Galapagos NV. Ms. Aar is responsible for clinical stage treatments for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and osteoarthritis.

Dr. Walid Abi-Saab, MD, has been Chief Medical Officer of Galapagos NV since March 1, 2017. Dr. Abi-Saab was with Shire Pharmaceuticals where he held various clinical development leadership roles, served as Group Vice President, Global Clinical Development - Therapeutic Area Head, Gastro-intestinal, Endocrinology and Metabolism. He led clinical development activities at Novartis, Abbott Laboratories and Pfizer, addressing a wide range of therapeutic areas and leading teams throughout the clinical development process. Under his leadership, more than 30 molecules have advanced through clinical development leading to several approvals in the US, EU and Canada. Prior to his pharma roles, he was Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Neurosurgery at Yale University Medical School, where he headed their Schizophrenia Research at the Clinical Neuroscience Research Unit and the Neurosurgery Epilepsy Microdialysis Research Program. He completed a Psychiatry residency training and a Neuroscience Research Fellowship at Yale University Medical School in New Haven, Connecticut. He holds an MD degree from Universit?? Saint Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon.
