Mr. Robert I. Pennington, also known as Bob, has been the Chief Operating Officer of General Moly, Inc. since January 1, 2012. Mr. Pennington served as a Vice President of Engineering & Construction at General Moly, Inc. since October 23, 2007 until January 2012. He is primarily responsible for leading the Mt. Hope project through engineering, construction and final commissioning. He joined General Moly with over 28 years of mine operations and project experience. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of M3 Engineering & Technology and previously held positions as President of the Tyrone Mine in New Mexico, General Manager of the Morenci mine in Arizona and Manager of Project Development Arizona Operations for Phelps Dodge. He has specialized experience in mill design and was instrumental in the engineering and construction of the Candelaria mine (FMI) in Chile, similar in many aspects to the Mt. Hope project. His past five years have been dedicated to EPCM management of mining projects, most recently completing the SXEW Piedras Verdes (FCC) project in Mexico. Mr. Pennington holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
