Dr. David R. Phillips, Ph.D. co-founded Global Blood Therapeutics, Inc., in 2011 and serves as its Advisor. Dr. Phillips co-founded Portola Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2003 and served as its Principal Scientist. Dr. Phillips served as Chief Scientific Officer and Senior Vice President of Biology at Portola Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He co-founded COR Therapeutics, Inc in 1988 and served as Principal Research Scientist. His research focused on platelets and thrombosis. His previous experience was in academia, at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis TN, and at Gladstone Research Institutes at the University of California at San Francisco, CA. His laboratory was instrumental in the discovery, cloning and characterization of GP IIb-IIIa and other platelet proteins. He served as Member of the Board of Directors of Portola Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Phillips holds a B.S. in chemistry from UCLA and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Southern California.

Ms. Tricia Borga Suvari, Esq. has been Chief Legal Officer of Global Blood Therapeutics, Inc. since October 11, 2016 and serves as its Secretary. Ms. Suvari has approximately 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry. Her knowledge and expertise managing business development opportunities, financings and commercial compliance responsibilities. She served as the Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel at Gilead Palo Alto, Inc (Former Name: CV Therapeutics Inc) since February 2007. Ms. Suvari served as an Assistant Secretary of Gilead Palo Alto, Inc. from May 2000 to February 2007 and Vice President from May 2000 to August 2006. From 1991 to 2000, Ms. Suvari served as General Counsel and senior counsel of Genentech, Inc., a biotechnology company, holding various positions in the legal department. From 1988 to 1991, Ms. Suvari was employed by the law firm Irell & Manella LLP in Los Angeles. She completed many complex business development and licensing transactions and advised on legal compliance for several commercial products. Ms. Suvari holds a B.S. in Geology and Geophysics from Yale College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Lesley Calhoun serves as the VP, Finance & Administration and Chief Accounting Officer of Global Blood Therapeutics. Lesley started at Global Blood Therapeutics in August of 2016. Lesley currently resides in San Francisco Bay Area.
