Mr. Mark R. Malone has been Senior Vice President of Operations at Gulfport Energy Corp. since March 10, 2017. Mr. Malone served as Vice President of Operations for Ohio Activities at Gulfport Energy Corp. since November 16, 2013 until March 10, 2017. Prior to joining Gulfport, Mr. Malone was previously with Sierra Engineering and served as Engineering Manager. In addition, prior to joining Sierra Engineering, he served as Senior Asset Manager for the Marcellus Shale at Chesapeake. Mr. Malone served as Vice President of Production & Stimulation (Midland) of New Tech Global Ventures, LLC. Mr. Malone joined New Tech Engineering in 2007 after spending 20 years with BJ Services Company and The Western Company of North America in various, sales, engineering and engineering management positions in the Rocky Mountains and the Permian Basin of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. He spent Ten years as Region Technical Manager for BJ Services Company in the Permian Basin. He has extensive experience in design, implementation and supervision and quality control of fracture stimulation treatments, acid fracture stimulation as well as primary and remedial cementing for new well completions and workovers. Mr. Malone is an active Member of the Board of Directors for the Southwestern Petroleum Short Course where he has provided instruction in hydraulic fracturing, acidizing and remedial cementing. He is a author of multiple SPE and industry technical papers and articles and is a patent holder. He is a contributing author for the fracturing text Modern Fracturing:Enhancing Natural Gas Production. Mr. Malone is a graduate of Texas Tech University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering.
