Mr. Phillip Tobias, BSc (Mining Engineering), serves as a Chief Operating Officer of New Business at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited since March 1, 2016. Mr. Tobias served as a Chief Operating Officer of Safety, Mining Projects, New Development and Corporate Strategy at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited since March 1, 2016 and served as its Chief Operating Officer of Special Projects and Development since March 1, 2016. Mr. Tobias served as Regional General Manager of Kusasalethu, Doornkop and Kalgold at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited from July 1, 2014 to March 1, 2016. he joined Harmony on July 1, 2014 as the Regional General Manager for Kusasalethu, Doornkop and Kalgold. He has been in the mining industry for about 20 years, initially as postgraduate mining engineer with Gold Fields Limited at their various operations. His operational and managerial experience was developed at a number of both gold and platinum mines. Prior to joining Harmony, he served as Consulting Mining Engineer of Joint Ventures and General manager of Thembelani Mine at Anglo American Platinum Limited. Mr. Tobias served as a Vice President and Head of Operations, Beatrix at Gold Fields Ltd. He was named the first black President of the Association of the Mine Managers of South Africa in 2008. Mr. Tobias holds a B.Sc (Mining Engineering), has completed the Wits International Executive Development Programme and GIBS Advanced Management Programme, is a registered professional engineer (Pr.Eng) and holds a Mine Manager's Certificate of Competence.

Mr. Danie Muller serves as Acting Chief Financial Officer of South Africa Operation at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited.

Mr. Beyers Nel, BSc, BEng, MBA, has been Chief Operating Officer of the South African Operations at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited since March 1, 2016. Mr. Nel has 15 years of experience in gold mining 13 years at Harmony - gained on a variety of opencast, deep and ultra-deep gold mines in both supervisory and management positions. He served as Regional General Manager of Target, Phakisa and Tshepong Mines at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited from July 1, 2014 to March 1, 2016. He served as Operating officer of Tshepong, Kusasalethu, Phakisa and Doornkop at Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. Mr. Nel is one of Harmony's operating officers for South Africa, with specific responsibility for the key growth assets of Phakisa, Tshepong, Doornkop and Kusasalethu as well as Kalgold. He has been with Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. for over a decade, builds on his technical mining experience in opencast and underground applications and moves steadily through the ranks from production foreman to his current management role for the South African operations. Under his leadership as General Manager, the teams at Phakisa and Kalgold received internal and external awards for performance and safety. He serves as the vice president of the Association of Mine Managers of South Africa. Along with his operational responsibilities, he has completed several management development programmes with honours, including an international exchange programme to the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. Mr. Nel holds a B. Eng (Mining Engineering), MBA and is a registered professional engineer (Pr. Eng).
