Mr. Willy Burkhardt serves as Executive Vice President and President of International at Iconix Brand Group, Inc. Mr. Burkhardt has been with Iconix since February, 2014, first as a Consultant helping to reshape Iconix Brand international business portfolio. As President, International, Mr. Burkhardt is responsible for international business and brand management activity across Iconix Brand non-Entertainment platform including management of seven joint ventures, major businesses in China and Latin America and both Umbro and Lee Cooper, two global brands headquartered outside of the United States. Mr. Burkhardt has more than 25 years of experience in managing across borders, developing new sources of revenue and managing and extending consumer-focused brands. Mr. Burkhardt served as President of Blue Man Productions, Inc. since January 2011. Mr. Burkhardt focused his efforts on the core aspects of its future growth initiatives including the development of new content franchises, the creation of new business platforms, expansion of its international operations and enhancements to the marketing and overall customer experience of its core theatrical business. Mr. Burkhardt has spent most of his career in the media and entertainment industry. He spent five years with ESPN, where as an Executive Vice President, he was responsible for all of ESPN's business activities outside the United States and oversaw ESPN's brand extensions and new business development in the United States. He served as an Executive Vice President of Digital Media Events and Merchandising at InterMedia Outdoors, Inc. from March 2009 to July 2010. Mr. Burkhardt served as Chief Executive Officer of The Sportsman Channel, Inc., and served as its President Since March 2009. Mr. Burkhardt has been responsible for the launch of more than 12 new television networks, has written or produced eight new television series and led the development of numerous media-branded websites. From 2004 to 2005, he was at Team Canada 2010, where he led a successful effort to secure the Canadian media rights to the 2010 and 2012 Olympic Games for Bell Globemedia and Rogers Communications. Before that, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Wicks Business Information, LLC. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, Inc., in New York. During a ten-year period, he held several positions within it both domestically and overseas focusing on strategy development for media and entertainment companies, with an emphasis on television, film, newspapers, magazines and interactive multimedia. He served as a Director of ESPN. Mr. Burkhardt earned his MBA, with high distinction Baker Scholar, at Harvard University and his bachelor's degree in Political Science, with honors and high distinction, at Stanford University.
