He served as the President of Automotive Operations at American Suzuki Motor Corporation. He served as the President of Internet Initiative Japan Inc. from April 1994 to June 26, 2013. He has over 20 years of experience in the computer and communication industry. He has been the Chairman of hi-ho, Inc. since April 1, 2014. He serves as the Chairman of IIJ America; Crosswave Services Inc. and Crosswave Facilities, Inc. He has been a Representative Director of Internet Initiative Japan Inc. since December 1992. He serves as a Director of atom and i-Heart, Inc. He serves as a Representative Director of IIJ Media Communications, IIJ Technology Inc., Net Care, Internet Multifeed, Asia Internet Holding and AIH Korea. He serves as a Director of IIJ Global Solutions Inc. He served as a Representative Director of Crosswave Communications, Inc. and for its subsidiaries, from October 1998 to August 2003. He served as a Representative Director of Crosswave Service Inc. and Crosswave Facilities Inc. from September 2000 to August 2003. From December 1992 to April 1994, He served as a Director of IIJ. He was a General Manager at Japan Management Association. He has been a Council Member of the Advanced Information and Telecommunications Network Society Promotion Headquarter established by the Japanese government since January 2001.
