Mr. Kevin S. McCarthy is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner for KA Fund Advisors, LLC. He serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Kayne Anderson Energy Total Return Fund, Inc. and has been its Co-Portfolio Manager since 2005. He served as Co-Portfolio Manager of Kayne Anderson Energy Development Company. He served as Senior Managing Director of Kayne Anderson since June 2004. Previously, he served as its Managing Partner of Public Funds. Mr. McCarthy served as the Global Head of Energy at UBS Securities LLC. He held senior responsibility for all of UBS' energy investment banking activities, including direct responsibilities for securities underwriting and mergers and acquisitions in the MLP industry. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Kayne Anderson Acquisition Corp., from inception until February 2017. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. McCarthy led the energy investment banking activities at Dean Witter Reynolds and then, PaineWebber Incorporated. He began his investment-banking career in 1984. He has been the Chairman of Kayne Anderson Acquisition Corp. since March 2017. He has been Director of K-Sea General Partner GP LLC at Kirby Offshore Marine, LLC since September 10, 2010 and Kayne Anderson Acquisition Corp., since January 2017. He has been a Director of Kayne Anderson Energy Total Return Fund, Inc. since May 2005. He has been Interested Director at Kayne Anderson Energy Development Company since 2006. Mr. McCarthy has been an Independent Director of Range Resources Corporation since May 19, 2005. He has been a Director of Kayne Anderson funds since 2005. He serves as a Director of Kayne Anderson Energy/Infrastructure Fund, Inc. and Kayne Anderson Canadian Energy Income Fund, Inc. He served as an Independent Director of ONEOK, Inc. since December 29, 2015 until May 2, 2017. He served as an Independent Director of Emerge Energy Services GP LLC since July 2012 until July 27, 2015. He is a member of Master Limited Partnership Group where he is responsible for master limited partnership private equity investments. Mr. McCarthy holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1984 and a B.A. in Economics and Geology from the Amherst College in 1981.

Mr. David J. Shladovsky, J.D., Esq. serves as the General Counsel at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P. Previously, he was the Senior Managing Director at the firm. Mr. Shladovsky joined Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P in 1997. Mr. Shladovsky also serves as a General Counsel at Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management, LLC. Prior to Kayne Anderson Capital, he was in the private practice of corporate and securities law. Mr. Shladovsky served as a Corporate Counsel at Hughes Hubbard & Reed, LLP. He served as a member of the Boston University Law Review. Mr. Shladovsky holds a J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 1985 and a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University.

Mr. James C. Baker, also known as Jim, has been Executive Vice President of Kayne Anderson MLP Investment Company since June 2008. Mr. Baker was a Partner and Senior Managing Director at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P. He was previously a Partner at the firm. Mr. Baker joined the firm in 2004 and was responsible for providing analytical support in the area of master limited partnerships. He was a part of the Energy Marketable Securities Team of the firm. Prior to that, he was a Director in the energy investment banking group at UBS Securities LLC, where he focused on securities underwriting and mergers and acquisitions in the master limited partnerships industry. Prior to joining UBS in 2000, Mr. Baker was an Associate in the energy investment banking group at PaineWebber Incorporated. He has earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the Southern Methodist University in 1997 and a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995.

Mr. John C. Frey, also known as J.C., CPA is a Co-Founder, Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P. He oversees the Kayne Anderson 's energy marketable securities activities. Previously, Mr. Frey served as its Research Analyst since 1998 and was responsible for high yield debt, REITs, and MLPs. He also served as Co-Portfolio Manager at the firm. He serves as an Officer and Co-portfolio manager responsible for public investments for KYN. He joined Kayne Anderson in 1997. He is Co-Founding Partner of Kayne Anderson Fund Advisors and is responsible for public investments for KYN. He also manages several other co-mingled partnerships and separate accounts on behalf of a distinguished list of high net worth, family offices and institutional clients. Mr. Frey is one of the longest tenured portfolio managers in the midstream energy space and oversees over $20 billion in assets consisting of the equity and debt securities of energy infrastructure companies including MLPs and marine transportation companies, as well as other energy issuer. Prior to joining Kayne Anderson MLP Investment Company, he served as an Audit Manager in KPMG Peat Marwick's financial services group, specializing in banking and finance clients, and loan securitizations. Several of the funds managed by Mr. Frey have been nominated as finalists for the MarHedge Annual U.S. Performance Awards as well as regular BarclayHedge monthly performance award winners and named as one of the top energy fund performers by Bloomberg. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Frey earned a B.S. in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University in 1990 and a Master of Taxation from the University of Southern California in 1991.
