Mr. David E. Brook is a Partner at Hamilton, Brook, Smith & Reynolds P.C. Mr. Brook is a Founding Principal of Hamilton, Brook, Smith & Reynolds P.C. where he had served as a Principal. Mr. Brook serves as a Secretary at Kopin Corporation. Mr. Brook has represented university and corporate clients for over 30 years in intellectual property matters in many fields including chemistry, chemical engineering, materials, biotechnology and medical devices. Previously, he served on the corporate patent staffs of Itek Corporation, the Atlantic Research Corporation and E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. Mr. Brook is Member of Advisory Board at Mediphase Venture Partners. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors at several high technology corporations. He has been a Director at Kopin Corporation since 1984. Mr. Brook is a Corporator at Boston Biomedical Research Institute. He is also a former Adjunct Professor at Suffolk University Law School and at the Franklin Pierce Law Center, where Mr. Brook still serves as a Member of the Advisory Committee on Intellectual Property. He also serves on the Board of Associates at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research and is also a Member of the Intellectual Property Advisory Committee of the Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Brook is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a Member of the Bar in Massachusetts, the District of Columbia and Virginia. He is also a Member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, in which he served as the Chairman of its Intellectual Property Committee; the Boston Patent Law Association, where he was the Chairman of the Chemical Practice Committee; the American Bar Association; the American Intellectual Property Law Association; the Central Middlesex Bar Association; and Phi Delta Phi Honorary Legal Fraternity. Mr. Brook has presented many invited lectures, including lectures at the M.I.T. Innovation Center and for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education. He holds a J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
