Mr. Zack Schildhorn is a Partner at Lux Capital Management since July 1, 2014. Mr. Schildhorn joined the firm in 2006 focusing on marketing, operations, and investments within energy, novel materials, and technology. He previously served as a Vice President and Director of Operations at the firm. Mr. Schildhorn has worked extensively with a number of Lux portfolio companies. Before this, Mr. Schildhorn worked as an expedition photographer on the Colorado Plateau. Mr. Adam Kalish is a General Partner at Lux Capital Management. He joined the firm on March 29, 2005. Before joining Lux, Mr. Kalish served as a Director at Everest Capital. Prior to Everest, he spent more than three years at Quellos Capital Management. He also worked at Dreamworks SKG in Los Angeles, where Mr. Kalish reported directly to the President of the Studio. He has been a frequent lecturer at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, MIT, and Johns Hopkins. Mr. Kalish has been invited to guest speak at the University of Miami Business School as well as the undergraduate program. Dr. Bilal Zuberi, Ph.D. has been Partner of Lux Capital Management since May 9, 2013. Dr. Zuberi focuses on identifying and leading early-stage investments across the Hardware, Software and Data sectors and also works with existing firm portfolio companies. Dr. Zuberi has been investing in technology start-ups for more than 15 years. His area of focus is investing in 'deep tech' and 'big ideas'. He is a Member of the core founding team of LUMS School of Science and Engineering. He co-organizes annual University Research and Entrepreneurship Symposium (URES). Dr. Zuberi spent the last 10 years as an entrepreneur and investor in early-stage technology companies. He was Principal of General Catalyst Partners and focus at investments in both new and existing technology businesses in the areas of advanced materials, clean energy and environment related technologies. At General Catalyst, he was Co-Founder of Rough Draft Ventures and the annual University Research and Entrepreneurship Symposium. Dr. Zuberi has been a Mentor and Advisor to investors and entrepreneurs. Previously, he was a Co-Founder and Vice President of Product Development at GEO2 Technologies, Inc. Dr. Zuberi was responsible for the development of GEO2's products and also for its customers. Dr. Shahin Farshchi, Ph.D. is a Partner at Lux Capital Management since July 1, 2014. He has sourced many of the firm's investments in hardware and devices. He joined the firm in 2006 and focuses on investments in energy and technology. Previously, he served as a Principal at the firm. Before joining the firm, Dr. Farshchi held technical positions at General Motors and several Silicon Valley technology startups. He has been an invited speaker/panelist at a variety of Universities and organizations including the IEEE, UC Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA, UCI, the California Cleantech Initiative, Entretec, OCTane, and the MIT Club of Silicon Valley. Ms. Renata Streit Quintini is a Partner at Lux Capital Management. She was a Managing Director at Felicis Ventures. Previously, Ms. Quintin was a General Partner and prior that a Partner at the firm since June 2012 and is primarily focused on investments in e-commerce, education, and connected devices. Previously, she was also a Principal at the firm. Ms. Quintini joined Felicis Ventures in 2011. Prior to joining Felicis, she was an institutional investor and Investment Manager at the Stanford Management Company, where she helped manage the endowment's venture capital portfolio and build out its micro-venture capital exposure.
