MAN Latin America, manufacturer of Volkswagen trucks and buses, has one of the most modern trucks and buses plant in the world, certified by ISO TS, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18.001 standards. The Consórcio Modular which brings into the plant the main suppliers for vehicle assembly. The plant is based in the city of Resende, 150 km from Rio de Janeiro and 250 km from São Paulo. It covers an area of 1 million square meters and 135,000 square meters in buildings. Nowadays, 6,000 people work there, most of them hired in the region.The company offers the domestic market a complete product line-up, with truck models and bus chassis. Several products are also exported to 31 countries.
